INAUGURAL EVENT

at the

2010  WOOD MEMORIAL STAKES RACE

at

AQUEDUCT RACETRACK

The 5R Racehorse Charity Foundation invites friends and supporters to join us at the 91st running of The Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack in Jamaica, New York on April 3, 2010, for an afternoon of exciting horse racing, good food and drink, surprise guests, and a charity raffle.

The 5R Racehorse Charity Foundation is managed by AS Rennklub, LLC, a horse racing and breeding partnership which was formed by Angelika Hala and Sean Kerr in New York City.

The partnership adopted 3 thoroughbred yearlings from Center Brook Farm.   April 3, 2010, will be almost exactly a year since 177 horses were found in horrific conditions at Center Brook Farm in New York.   Thanks to the efforts and generosity of people who deeply care about the animals, many of the horses were adopted and have since recovered from starvation and diseases.  The afternoon at Aqueduct will give us an opportunity to share with you their stories and update you on their new lives.

The mission of 5R Racehorse Charity Foundation is to raise awareness of racehorse care and welfare issues and to raise charitable funds for the community of thoroughbred rescue and rehabilitation organizations.  The three adopted horse are emissaries of the trust:  Their training and progress of the three adopted horses will be continuously publicized for informative and educational purposes.
